- Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2014Bought these for my 2012 Wrangler Altitude. They are a VERY snug fit, which is expected because they are neoprene. Do not try to put them on in the cold weather, you will not be successful. When you do install them be prepared to get hot, sweaty, annoyed, & frustrated and you will be pulling and pulling and adjusting. I read several reviews about the head rest cover not fitting. Oh they fit, although this is like putting mittens on a watermelon, and I needed assistance holding the headrest while I was pulling and securing the Velcro. Subsequently, my efforts were futile and I took them off, but only because I'm a girl with long hair and the material was making my hair static-y lol. Ultimately I am happy with the purchase and the look, in the winter they keep the leather seats warmer to sit on, as they are not heated like the front seats.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2014I got these for my 6 year old and her little mishaps. These puppies are tight but in a very good way. Once installed they look great. My wife came outside to check on me and said when are you going to get started - I was done! They look that good. The price can't be beat for what you get. I have paid much more and never got the great fit as these did on my 2013 jeep unlimited sahara. The reason I did not give a 5 star was that the head covers were just a bit short in that I could not attach the straps but they are tight in that they are going nowhere. I was able to orient them where they ended up being half an inch short in the back with full coverage in the front. Time will tell how they will hold up.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2015I put these in my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. It's been less than a day, so I can't review the durability. The fabric is soft, comfortable and slightly padded, but without looking like a seat cover. I don't think anyone would really notice they are seat covers unless they looked very closely. It's water resistant, debris can be brushed away, and it cleans up easily.
They cover the backseat almost entirely with just a few places around the seat belts remaining exposed. The head rest covers are just a little small, so I had to choose to cover the front of the headrest leaving more of the back exposed.
It took about 30 minutes to install and everything went easily into place. There are a total of six pieces: 2 headrest covers (slightly small); 2 seat back covers (elastic stitching described below); and 2 seat covers.
There are elastic bands around the bottom that keep the covers on the seats. Think about it like the fitted sheet on your bed. Some covers also have Velcro to connect one side to the other for more even fit.
I noticed the unraveling of the elastic's stitching on the seat back covers. About 6 inches of thread unravelled on each one. It's not enough now to show, or be a problem, but I am concerned that over time this will cause a real issue with its durability.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2016My wife and I purchased these for our 2008 jeep wrangler and we bought the front and back parts it is a little challenge to install but after its on the look and feel of these are great we really like them and the fit is perfect they are a little pricey but check others with the quality it's well worth the money and holds up well its been on our jeep for a little over 3 months and still looks new thanks
- Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2015I bought a second set for my Husband's Jeep and they had the same problem as the first set, the rear seat seams split when you install them. Both sets split in the exact same location. He has the front seat Rugged Ridge Seat covers and they worked great. Very tight fit but didn't split.
Update 1/11/2015: Okay the third set was delivered and upon installation they also had the seams split. My husband was not happy! The seat cover material is fantastic but the seams are poorly sewn at best. The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited rear seat is a split bench and the smaller side back is wider at the top and middle than it is at the bottom so when the seat cover is being installed the bottom of the seat cover has to stretch around the seat back as it is pulled down until it is completely on. They fit very very snug and all three we ordered split. After he took the seat cover off I took it to my sewing machine and resewed the split seam and also the other seams as well. Voila! he was able to then get the smaller side seat back cover on without the seam splitting. However upon installing the larger seat back side it split the seam as well so I took it and sewed it as well and it worked. I simply sewed it double (two runs down each seam) using whats called a "stretch stitch" using normal thread and they worked. My husband was happy because he already has the matching seat covers on the front seats in his new Jeep. I guess they should sew them a little better. These seat covers cost $125.00 for the rear and $185 for the front for a total of over $300 plus tax and shipping, you'd think they would use a better quality stitch on the seams of seat covers that are designed to fit so tight and are a real struggle to get on the seats.
And oh by the way, as you will see in the other reviews the headrest covers are just flat out too small and do not fit the head rests no matter how much you tug and pull! My husband has a call into Rugged Ridge to see if they have some that are a little larger. And as others have pointed out the little 1/2 inch by 1 inch Velcro tabs on the head rest cover are a real joke.
I closing, Rugged Ridge has made some really quality seat covers that actually fit quite well but they cut corners on the simple things like thread, stitching, and the head rest covers that kinda of ruined an otherwise outstanding product.
My suggestion, if you buy these seat covers take them to a sewing machine and reinforce the seams before you install them!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2016So, Amazon has the description on these wrong. They only fit 4-door Unlimited models, they're for a 70/30 split seat, not a bench seat. A bench seat is the Rugged Ridge 13265.01 part number. On top of this miscommunication I also received the wrong color, half of the cover set was solid black and the other half was black/gray pattern. Overall it was a very frustrating experience.
